Back in December 2015, after much feedback from the VMware community, VMware decided to continue with its VCAP brand for its advanced level v6 certifications.
They also added a VCIX6 that is earned by passing both the Design and Deploy certifications for your designated track. Since then, VMware has been at work creating the beta exams. Well, they’ve announced that the beta exams are open for public registration. The first exam appointments begin on February 15th.
In order to take these exams, you must already have a VCP6 cert or a VCP5 cert and a VCAP5 cert. For now, the only exams that are available are:
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization Design (VCAP6-DCV Design)
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 – Cloud Management and Automation Design (VCAP6-CMA Design)
- The VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 – Desktop and Mobility Design (VCAP-DTM Design)….registration for this exam will be open later in February.
